Went fishing again with my brother, see his happy face, he caught a over 50 cm bass today. my biggest one was a 40 cm bass. check my running shoes for the size.

Went fishing with my brother, very exciting day, I almost caught a 3 foot long pike, the fish was jumping out of watch in front of me and my brother. I was fighting with it for nearly 3 mins till the line broke. Anyways, these are the little ones I caught today.

I saw a Maybach yesterday while scouting for location. For those of you who don't know what a Maybach is. It's an ultra expensive and luxury car, It's like 400k and up. This was my third time to see this luxury car, I was surprised that we had this in Montreal. The car was being washed in a small car salon. Second time was in hk while I was going home, and first time was somebody from the states. Well, I just can't imagine how it feels to drive a house onto the road or more expensive than some houses. #1. on camera flash bounce off the ceiling. 90 degree upward. manual exposure for camera and flash,

2. Flash bounce off from the left wall slightly behind the subject. I stood closer to the subject so that the light would slightly pass the subject, and keep the shadow details in the left shoulder.

3. Flash bounced off the ceiling slight to my back wall.

4. flash bounced off the ceiling with a green gel, stood close to the subject, used very slow shutter to let the background lights in

noticeable better noise control than the 1D and 1D3, Just too small for handholding, it doesn't feel very good when shooting vertical.

Sony A900, 300 mm f/2.8

The focus and the white balance is really good. Even the subject was behind the big glasses, the camera will focus without problem.

It feels very good on hand

very good white balance but, don't feel as comfortable holding it as the 1D

The upper one is jpeg version straight out of the camera
The lower one is retouched from a raw file.
For those of you don't know what a 200 - 500mm f/2.8 APO BIGMA is.

Out of all the Cameras I tried ( Canon 1d III, 1ds III, 40D, and 5D II, Nikon D3x, Olympus E3, Sony A900 ), I didn't test it fully, just first the impression, I found that the Nikon D3X and Sony A900 is the best AWB (not too yellow), but, Canon ones are just too warm, The Olympus E3 is even worse, i asked their rep. white balance too yellow, he told me the model(girl) is yellow. I was like??? yellow, your AWB system cant even balance the lights? After spending a min adjusting it, he still couldn't get it right. Fail. Sorry, no sample pics, My mac can't read it. For the Nikon, their rep. wasn't pleasant dealing with their potential customers, he hated people testing their cameras, anyways, the body didn't feel as good as the 1D, the thumb felt like sticking out all the time, where with the 1d, your thumb just stayed in there. The 5D II is just too small for handholding, especially shooting vertical. but, The thing i like about it because it has the best noise control in even in Canon Pro cameras.

1. They unpacked their stuffs before skating. one of the skateboarders took out the video camera for filming.

2. They were jumping and sliding along the bench.

3. This is the youngest kid there, he had only 12 year-old. The other skateboarder was filming along with this little kid.

4. Well, it happened sometimes.

5. all the scratches on the bench.

6. they were doing some moves in bigger area.

7. The police came, all skateboarders had to leave.

8. The writing and drawing that were left behind.

9. After the kids left, the police went back to the building.

10. It became quiet again.

Walking around Old Port the other day, saw a bunch of skateboarders playing at Palais de Justice, they were nice enough to let me photograph them but, unfortunately after 5 mins, a police came and asked them to leave. no skateboarding there.

went to a coffee shop with a friend of mine, to meet up a bunch of talented artists, they are in animation art. Maybe, I am really bad in writing and drawing, that's why I am a photographer, Professional photographer, meaning seriously don't know how to draw. I was amazed by their works. These guys really know how to draw, and their creativity is crazy, they just grab their pens and draw. here is one of the girl's drawing book. I wish I have half of their skills. and They Dance. LOL. It was a fun night.

Playing with the little flash again today. I couldn't find anything to shoot because it rained today. Well, an other excuse to put the camera in the bag. While I was helping out a friend to create some lighting for his set, yeah, he makes puppet. Basically, nothing was interesting to me there, but, with a little off camera flash, I tried to create something interesting, I guess.

He is Nosy (Gigi), He just came back after a little over 2 months of vacation, Yeah, he used to go out like half of a day and then come back for his dinner. I dont know why this time he went out for so long. Anyways, why you only see his head? he was having his personal moment in his private toilet when I took this shot. Sorry, it is a little blurry, but, he just doesn't like people interrupt when he is doing his thing. but, too bad, I have to give you guys my PAD. If you look close enough, you can see me in his eyes.

The reason having a fast lens is that, even in a very dark environment, you still can get a very reasonable shutter speed. I didn't go very far for PAD, Just in front of my LCD. I just love the shallow dof.
